SSF Detail is owned and operated by Steven Shames, a Boca Raton native with 8+ years of professional detailing experience across South Florida. Every vehicle is hand-inspected on intake, photographed, and paired with the ideal correction and protection package for its paint, age, and use pattern. Our shop is a climate-controlled, dust-managed environment purpose-built for paint-correction and ceramic-coating work. Professional interior and exterior detailing packages. Every wash uses a ceramic-safe two-bucket method with pH-neutral shampoo, dedicated wheel and brake-caliper brushes, and touchless drying to eliminate the swirl marks caused by drive-through washes.
- Ceramic Safe Car Wash — $75: Graphene hand wash, foam bath, wheel and glass detailing, tire dressing, streak-free glass. 45–60 min.
- Maintenance Detail — $199: Recurring exterior + light interior for members. Vacuum, dash and console wipe, glass, exterior hand wash + sealant top-up.
- Full Detail — $295: Interior + exterior decontamination, iron remover, clay bar, vacuum, leather conditioning, hand-applied 6-month paint sealant. 3–4 hrs.
- Full Detail PLUS — $370: Full detail with steam cleaning, deep interior reset (headliner, air vents, door jambs), longer-lasting 12-month sealant. 5–6 hrs.
Authorized Kovalent installer. Every ceramic coating includes paint correction (single or multi-stage) before application, wheel-face decontamination, glass coating, and a manufacturer-backed warranty ranging from 3 to 9 years.
- Basic Ceramic — $1,149: Single-layer Kovalent Prolong (3-year warranty) on paint, plastics, and glass.
- Advanced Graphene — $1,599 (best seller): Two-layer Kovalent Graphene (7-year warranty) with paint correction, wheel-face and glass coating.

Authorized STEK PPF installer. Self-healing urethane film with UV-stable clearcoat, hydrophobic top layer, and 10-year manufacturer warranty. All installs use custom vehicle-specific patterns (not bulk rolls) cut on our dedicated plotter. Gloss and matte-satin finishes available.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does ceramic coating last? Between 2 and 9 years depending on the product tier: Kovalent Prolong Light 3-year, Prolong 5-year, Graphene 7-year, Matrix/Borophene 9-year. Longevity depends on wash frequency (2–4 weeks is ideal), exposure (garaged vs street-parked), and whether the coating is topped-up annually with a maintenance ceramic booster.
How much does PPF cost in Boca Raton? Prices depend on the coverage tier and vehicle size. Starter Kits (bumper + mirrors) are the entry point at around $1,200–$1,800. Full Front End is $2,500–$4,500. Track packages $4,500–$7,000. Full Body $6,500–$14,000+. Every quote is custom — book a walk-through and we'll measure your specific vehicle.
PPF vs ceramic coating — which is better? They solve different problems. PPF absorbs impacts (rocks, sand, road debris) and physically protects the paint. Ceramic adds gloss, hydrophobic beading, and chemical resistance but doesn't stop rock chips. Best result: both — PPF on high-impact zones (front bumper, hood, mirrors, rockers) plus ceramic coating on top for the maintenance-easy hydrophobic finish.
What's Florida's window tint legal limit? Front side windows must be at least 28% VLT (Visible Light Transmission). Rear sedan windows minimum 15% VLT. SUV/van rear windows minimum 6% VLT. Windshield tint is limited to the top 5-inch strip (AS-1 line). We install every shade legal in Florida.
Do you offer mobile service? Yes. Our mobile detailing van covers most of Palm Beach and Broward County. We bring water, power, and every tool needed. Same 12-month warranty as our shop service. Ceramic coating and PPF are shop-only for climate control reasons.
How long does a Full Detail take? 3–4 hours for a Full Detail; 5–6 hours for Full Detail PLUS. Ceramic coatings are typically 2-day appointments (Day 1 paint correction, Day 2 coating application + cure). PPF installs range from 1–5 days depending on coverage.
Do you provide a loaner car? Yes — complimentary Mercedes AMG or equivalent loaner during ceramic coating and PPF installs, subject to availability. Book 7+ days in advance for guaranteed loaner.
What's your warranty? Ceramic coating: 3–9 year manufacturer warranty depending on tier (Kovalent). PPF: 10-year manufacturer warranty (STEK) — covers yellowing, bubbling, cracking, delamination. Window tint: lifetime warranty on adhesive, fade, and bubbles. Full and Maintenance Details: 12-month sealant durability guarantee.
Can you match a competitor's price? We do not price-match on ceramic or PPF because the film brand, coating product, and installer certification are what determine long-term value — not the sticker price. That said, we offer transparent quoting and will explain the price difference between us and any other shop.
Do you take Tesla, Rivian, and other EVs? Yes. We're one of Boca Raton's most-experienced EV detailers — charge port, frunk, and aero-panel protocols are all included. Ceramic coating and PPF are especially recommended for EVs due to soft factory paint on Teslas and Rivians.
